Project Runway Australia

I realize once again why Project Runway is so much better than The Fashion Show. I am currently watching Project Runway Australia which, even though I really am not sure who the mentor, host and judges are, is still superior to TFS.

One thing I notice is that the contestants aren't specifically humiliated by the judges and are encouraged by the mentor. A lot more time is spent showing the creative process of the contestants.

You can also actually see the garments on the runway! The lighting on the Fashion Show was so muted, I could barely make out the design lines and colors of the garments. Who on earth made that decision?

Project Runway Canada

Since it doesn't look like PR will be hitting the airwaves any time soon, I have been watching the PRs of the world. Project Runway Canada has started its second season.

The Canadians just don't seem to be quite as mean and nasty as the American contestants - though I've never seen a reality show love fest like PR Australia.

Anyhow, I guess the stress must be greater in Canada because 2 contestants bowed out because of illness on the first show! They still managed to boot off a contestant - I guess that means that there will be at least 2 folks getting a second chance.

I actually like Iman as the host better than Heidi. She is mesmerising beautiful and actually pretty funny.

If you are in Canada, you can watch the show from the network's website. Unfortunately, if you are from America, the streaming video does not work. Guess PR doesn't want you to get any kind of PR fix so you will put pressure on the networks to resolve their dispute.
